Qigong Tuina Therapists
and Qigong Teachers

Qigong Tuina (pronounce: Tsjiekoeng twienaa) is a naturopathy, which is part of the traditional Chinese medicine and it is based on the Taoist philosophy of yin and yang. From that basis the body is regulated and reinforces the resilience of the human body. It is very ancient (around 4500 years), but is at the same time part of a developing modern science.

The valuable points of Qigong Tuina are:

  • it is a naturopathy which is easily applied
  • it uses no chemical medicines
  • it is harmless and has no side effects
  • it is comfortable, safe and has a preventive and curative working

Qigong Tuina treatments reinforce inner energy. Blockades which have arisen in the meridians are lifted, so that energy can again flow freely through the meridians (a meridian is an invisible energy channel in the human body through which energy flows).

Qigong Tuina treatment regulates and stimulates the circulation of energy and blood, and it reinforces the self healing capacity of the body, through which the treatment has both a preventive and a healing working.

Which treatment techniques are used?

At Qigong Tuina no needles are used like at acupuncture, also no herbs or medicines are administered. Only physical manipulation techniques are used (Chinese therapeutic massage and acupressure) and the transfer of energy (Waiqi) from the therapist to the patient to free the meridians of blockades and stimulate the blood circulation.

Waiqi is a Qigong technique at a high level, where the Qigong practitioner is capable to increase his Qi and then transmits it to the patient. Both techniques have a therapeutic impact. The one who undergoes Qigong Tuina feel themselves relaxed, pleasant and refreshed during the treatment. For this reason one can consider Qigong as a way to prevent and cure sicknesses and also as an enjoyment at a high level.

What is the effect of Qigong Tuina?

A Qigong Tuina treatment penetrates deeply into the muscle fabric, the bones and tendons. The treatment continues working in the conscience. It increases resilience, gives flexibility, moderates tension and fatigue which are caused by sickness. It reinforces and stimulates the metabolism, regulates the functioning of the central nervous system, so that you become calm and quiet. Because of this it has a positive impact on your mental condition. It reinforces therefore both the physical and mental condition. The impact is a combination of stimulating emotional determination/resoluteness and recovery of the body functions.

Several complaints can be treated well with Qigong Tuina, among other things:

  • joint complaints
  • neck -, sholder- and back complaints
